Consider asking for extra pillows or comforters at check-in. the room can get a bit chilly at night, which might enhance your comfort during your stay.

i really liked calverts hotel. staff were super friendly and helpful, and i loved that the hotel has this old fashioned charm. the location is awesome, easy walk to the center and a quick bus ride can take you around the island. the room was clean, comfy bed, and i appreciated the tea making stuff in there. definitely great value for money since its not very pricey for the stay.
but the bathroom could use some updates, it had a bath but no proper shower which was kinda weird. also, it got pretty dark in the room, could use brighter bulbs or better lighting.

easy access to parks and local dining options
I had a lovely experience while staying for six nights, as the charming old hotel was just a few steps away from the Queen Victoria Memorial and only 500 meters from beautiful Church Litten Park, which made my city strolls so enjoyable. I also appreciated the friendly staff who ensured that I was comfortable throughout my stay in my spacious double room.

The shower pressure was disappointingly low, making it difficult to enjoy a proper wash.

Charming stay with a local vibe.
This place has a nice old-school charm I really dig! My room was spacious and super comfy. It's just a short walk to the center for food and drinks. The staff were super friendly too! The bar area is cool, but you gotta go elsewhere for tap drinks. Just a heads up, the breakfast selection was kinda lacking, especially for the cooked items.

The Calverts Hotel provided a comfortable stay, with a notably comfy mattress and a clean room. The hotel is centrally located, making it convenient for both business and leisure purposes. The staff were incredibly polite and friendly, adding to the positive experience.
The bathroom shower was not functional, and there was noticeable traffic noise from the busy junction outside.

Friendly staff and comfy beds
Loved how close this place was to town. Staff were super nice and even held our bags so we could explore. The room was decent, really comfy beds, and having tea facilities was great. Just had a bit of a hassle with charging stuff since there was only one socket. Breakfast was cheap and just what I needed.

Absolutely chuffed with the dining options nearby! If you're a foodie like me, you can't miss God's Providence House for some lovely bites or the Nomad Bar & Restaurant for a wicked atmosphere. The staff were super friendly too, staying cheerful throughout our stay, and comfy beds meant we got a great night’s sleep. Perfect for a central location.
The bathroom left a bit to be desired. The shower pressure was virtually non-existent, and it felt odd having only a bath for washing. Plus, with old-school windows, it got a bit chilly at night. Still, nothing a hot cup of tea can't fix!
